Lahore world’s third most polluted city on AQI

Continuous sunshine for the last two days in Lahore turned the weather condition pleasant and the city slipped to third place in the most polluted cities index with AQI recorded at 273, reported 24NewsHD TV channel.
As per the Pakistan weather office, continental air is prevailing over most parts of the country and a shallow westerly wave is likely to enter the upper parts of the country during the next 24 hours.
On Wednesday, fog/ smog is likely to prevail in plain areas of Punjab and mainly cold and dry/ partly cloudy/ cloudy weather is expected in most upper parts of the country, while, rain/snowfall is expected at isolated places in Upper Khyber Pakhtunkhuwa and Gilgit-Baltistan (GB).
In Faisalabad, the AQI was recorded at 375 turning the city’s air to unbreathable for people.
Faisalabad weather office predicted no rain in the next 24 hours. Experts said that smog became the cause of various skin and eye related diseases.
