UN asks Afghan government to stop terrorism from its own country  

United Nations Secretary-General Antonio Guterres has said Afghanistan must stop all acts of terrorism from its own country, 24NewsHD TV channel reported.

The Taliban must stop all terrorist activities in their country that affect relations with other countries in the region and with Pakistan, he said while addressing a press conference.

He added: “I am mobilizing the international community to help Pakistan's flood victims. The massive devastation caused by the floods in Pakistan, which I witnessed firsthand. It is the responsibility of the international community to help Pakistan with climate change. I have also contacted the IMF and the World Bank in recent days.

"I hope that the IMF and the World Bank will play an effective role in the context of the floods in Pakistan. The people of Pakistan need the strong support of the international community."
