Met office predicts rain in Lahore, parts of country today

Rain-wind-thunderstorm (snow over hills) is expected in Punjab including Lahore, north Balochistan, upper KP, Islamabad, Kashmir and GB on today (Tuesday), reported 24NewsHD TV channel.
Forecasters predict that hailstorms are also expected at isolated places during the period and cold and dry weather is expected elsewhere in the country.

The weather office said that continental air is prevailing over most parts of the country and a fresh westerly wave is likely to enter western parts of the country tonight (Monday) and may persist in upper parts till Thursday.
Rain with strong winds is expected in Quetta, Ziarat, Qila Saifullah, Zhob and Waziristan, Gilgit Baltistan, Kohistan, Chitral, Mansehra, Abbottabad, Kashmir, DI Khan, Bannu, Layyah, Sialkot, Jhelum, Gujrat, Gujranwala.

The Meteorological Office has alerted all the relevant departments to ensure preparedness to avoid any untoward situation in the wake of the rains and strong winds.
Monday’s lowest minimum temperature’s (°C): Kalam, Astore -07, Skardu-05 , Bagrote, Pulwama, Baramulla, Gupis, Malam Jabba -04, Anantnag, Shopian, Hunza -03, Srinagar -02, Kalat, Rawalakot and Parachinar -01.
In the past 24 hours (Sunday), cold and dry weather prevailed over most parts of the country, while very cold in hilly areas.
