PM inaugurates E-Commerce Portal; aspires to increase IT exports up to 50b

Prime Minister Imran Khan inaugurated the “E-Commerce Portal” on Monday and said that the government wanted to increase IT exports up to $50 billion, reported 24NewsHD TV channel.
He said that bad were the economic circumstances when his government came to power and added that he was fully aware of the poor economic conditions people were faced with.
He said that Microsoft founder Bill Gates came to Pakistan at his invitation, and he also helped greatly with the eradication of polio in the country.
The prime minister also stressed the need for the promotion of technology among the youth, adding: “Our educational system bars talented youths from progressing; therefore, the government plans to introduce a uniformed educational system in the country.”
He said that youngsters all around the world were progressing in the IT sector, adding that the government had reduced tax to zero for the registered freelancers in the “E-Commerce Portal”.
