Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz has termed the recently promulgated PECA Ordinance as violation of human rights saying that Prime Minister Imran Khan has brought these amendments to enslave 220 million people of this country, reported 24NewsHD TV channel.

Addressing a presser on Monday, PML-N spokesperson Marriyum Aurangzeb dubbed the PECA Ordinance as black law deploring that there was no definition of ‘fake news’ in this black law. She said it was an attempt by the government to gag people’s voice.

She lamented that criticizing any government institution would be a non-bail able offence and the FIA would arrest any person who would relay fake news without warrants. She said brining improvement in every law was welcome, but the amendments this government brought were outrageous.

She said there would be a five-year imprisonment for giving fake news. Retweet will also earn you a five-year term. It’s the violation of human rights, she maintained.

Those who used to raise slogans of ‘change’ can read these amendments, Ms Aurangzeb added.
