Zardari meets Maulana at his residence, discusses number-game on no-trust move

Former president Asif Ali Zardari on Monday held an exclusive meeting with Pakistan Democratic Movement (PDM) head Maulana Fazlur Rehman at his residence and discussed the number-game on the no-trust motion against Prime Minister Imran Khan.

According to the 24News HD TV channel, both the leaders decided to give tough time to the government by maintaining contacts with the parliamentarians.

Former President Asif Ali Zardari arrived at Maulana’s residence in Islamabad where Maulana Fazlur Rehman, Akram Khan Durrani, and Maulana Asad Mahmood warmly welcomed him.

In the meeting, they discussed consultations on the no-confidence motion and contacts with allies.

Zardari will reach Lahore tomorrow and host a dinner in honour of Opposition Leader Shehbaz Sharif at Bilawal house.

According to the declaration issued here after the meeting, Asif Ali Zardari said preparations for the no-trust move are complete and government members are also in touch with the opposition.

Zardari said allies of the ruling party are also fed up with the government and the eyes of the people are on the opposition now.

In the meeting, Maulana Fazlur Rehman said the selected government has lost the trust of the people and this time the opposition will move after taking all the parties in confidence.
