Legendary actor Adnan Siddiqui expressed concerns at skyrocketing inflation.
Taking to Instagram, the star shared a clip of himself playing pun, saying: “We are living in a time of great uncertainty, and it’s hard not to feel overwhelmed by the challenges that we are facing.
“We once had a Pakistan that was thriving, a country that was a beacon of hope and opportunity, a picture-perfect vision of our forefathers. And now it is struggling to keep up with the changing times.
"I see the hardships of our people every day - so many people going hungry, struggling to make ends meet, and losing their jobs. It fills me with deep sadness and heartache.
"However, it is the future of our children that truly scares me. What kind of world are we leaving behind for them?
"Will they have to face even greater challenges and adversities than we are facing today? These are difficult questions to answer….questions I don’t have any answers to…
"All I know is that after the storm comes the calm. And I hope it’s around the bend.”

The coalition government dropped a bombshell on the people already struggling to cope with record inflation by levying additional taxes of Rs170 billion on them.
The taxes were listed in the Finance (Supplementary) Bill 2023 which Finance Minister Ishaq Dar tabled in the National Assembly in order to meet the demand of the International Monetary Fund (IMF).
