Arrest warrants for owner of Master Tiles issued

Arrest warrants for Master Tiles owner Sheikh Mahmood Iqbal have been issued for being a defaulter of Gujranwala Electric Power Company (GEPCO), reported 24NewsHD TV channel.

Sheikh Mahmood Iqbal was also declared an absconder for not appearing in the court on Wednesday.

A GEPCO spokesperson said that Sheikh Mahmood Iqbal owed Rs350 million to power company.

Master Tiles owed Gepco a total of Rs470 million and cases were registered over dishonouring of a number of cheques submitted by Sheikh Mahmood Iqbal, the spokesperson said.

The spokesperson further said that after his arrest in the cases Sheikh Mahmood Iqbal paid Rs120 million on the spot and gave two more checques to the GEPCO.
