Muttahida Naan Roti Association in the garrison city has announced to further increase prices of Naan and Roti from January 22 (Sunday), reported 24NewsHD TV channel on Saturday.

Naan will be sold at Rs 30 and Roti at Rs16.

The association's general secretary Waheed Abbasi lamented that the district administration had failed to provide cheap flour (both brown and fine). He said a sack of 80kg flour was selling at Rs12,000 and a sack of 15kg at Rs2,000. The general secretary of the association said Nanbais could not sell Naan and Roti on same prices after purchasing costly flour. Abbasi said they were, therefore, had no option other than to hike prices of both Naan and Roti from Sunday.
