Strong reaction over torture on Lahore schoolgirl

There was a strong reaction on social media after a disturbing video footage of girl students assaulting a classmate at a Lahore school for refusing to smoke cigarette spread like wildfire.
As soon as the video of the incident went viral, people from different platforms, celebrities, social activists and journalists came forward and condemned the disturbing and appalling incident.

The hashtag #JusticeForParasShah became top trend on twitter and many celebrities took to social media to call out the horrifying and abhorrent incident, collectively demanding justice for the victim girl.
Journalist Imran Riaz on his twitter account condemned this act of bullying and demanded punishment in accordance with the law.

Pakistani singer Ali Zafar also condemned the incident in a series of tweets and he also highlighted that how such exclusive schools are hotbeds of abuse.
Just saw a video of a girl being bullied. I don’t want to share the video because no matter how bad the act was, I feel that those girls (the bullies) need a fair chance in life to learn and become better human beings; however, the issue of bullying needs to be addressed.

Host Mishi Khan also demanded justice for the affected girl and called out the so-called modern school for not shunning the curse of drugs in the school.

Zunaira Inam, the wife of Usman Mukhtar, has consistently spoken out against bullying and violence. She reacted quickly as soon as the incident's footage started going viral.
