ECP issues postal ballot papers for general elections

The Election Commission of Pakistan has issued postal ballot papers for the general elections in the country, reported 24NewsHD TV channel on Saturday.

The eligible voters can use their right to vote from January 22 through mail.

The application form for the postal ballot can be downloaded from the Election Commission of Pakistan’s website.

According to sources, the application for the postal ballet will be sent to the district returning officer.

The prisoners and under-custody accused can also cast their votes through ballot papers.

Sources said that disabled persons can cast their votes without going to polling stations. All disabled persons who have Identity Cards showing their disability can avail the facility of postal ballot.

The government employees deployed in areas far from their constituency, officials of armed forces and their families can also avail this facility.

The eligible voters can send their applications for postal ballot to their respective returning officers.
