Supply restored to Karachi districts after new control gate installed in Hub Canal

The successful installation of a new control gate on the channel of the Hub Canal Reservoir in Karachi has been completed, reported 24NewsHD TV channel on Wednesday. 

According to officials, after the installation of the new control gate, water supply has been restored in the West and Kemari districts of Karachi.

Hub Canal Project is a major breakthrough in strengthening and modernizing the city's water distribution system.

The project was completed on the special instructions of CEO Water Corporation Ahmed Ali Siddiqui.

The work continued uninterrupted and at a fast pace to save the citizens from minimum difficulties.

The project was completed on time with the professionalism of field teams, engineers and technical staff. 

Chief Executive Officer Ahmad Ali Siddiqui said the new control gate is expected to improve the regulation of water flow from Hub Pumping Station. 

He said the aim of the project is to ensure fair and effective distribution of water in different areas of the city 

Ahmed Ali Siddiqui said the water distribution system of District West and Keamari will improve significantly.

The new control gate will help to control water wastage, Ahmed Ali Siddiqui said.

The project will help in stabilizing water supply on a long-term basis, CEO said.

The Hub Canal Gate Project will further strengthen the overall water infrastructure of Karachi.
