TikTok removes over 28 million Pakistani videos

The TikTok social media platform has removed over 28 million Pakistani videos for violating rules, reported 24NewsHD TV channel on Wednesday.

A total of 2,81,98,284 videos in Pakistan were put to the sword during the third quarter (July to September) of fiscal year 2025-26 for violating TikTok’s Community Guidelines.

According to the latest enforcement report, TikTok’s proactive content removal rate in Pakistan reached an all-time high of 99.8%, with 95.9% of the videos being removed within 24 hours of being uploaded.

The report, which outlines the platform’s efforts to maintain a safe digital environment, reflects TikTok’s commitment to addressing harmful content swiftly.

The platform’s technology played a key role in this process, automating much of the content removal, while human teams focused on tasks requiring judgment, such as reviewing appeals and consulting external experts.

Globally, TikTok removed 20,45,34,932 videos during the same period, representing about 0.7% of all content uploaded to the platform.

Automated detection technologies were responsible for removing 186,608,081 of those videos.
