Spokesperson for Sindh government and Advisor for Law, Environment & Coastal Development Barrister Murtaza Wahab has said that the spread of coronavirus in the province has been controlled due to better strategy and cooperation of the people.

Addressing a press conference at Sindh Assembly Auditorium on Tuesday, he said that many people are trying to take credit for this but the reality is in front of everyone. The Sindh government’s strategy to curb the spread of corona has been successful. Presenting the statistics of people infected with the corona virus, he said that in Sindh till July 21, the number of cases of coronavirus was one hundred and thirteen thousand while the number in other provinces was very low. 

Murtaza Wahab said that the spokespersons for the federal government misrepresented that due to wrong policies of the Sindh government, the number of Corona patients has increased.  He said that four and a half lakh tests have been done in Sindh while Punjab which has many times more population than Sindh has undergone about four lakh corona virus tests. In Sindh, double tests were conducted from Punjab. Sindh also has a high recovery rate among patients infected with the corona virus.  Eighty-two percent of patients have recovered in Sindh, while the number is much lower in Punjab and other provinces.

The Sindh government spokesperson said that the death rate of patients from Corona was also lower than all other provinces in Sindh. Blaming won’t do anything. Statistics show that the Sindh government’s strategy regarding Corona has been successful. While giving all the details of the patients infected with the corona virus, he said that the purpose of disclosing the statistics is to ensure positive cooperation of the people with the government. He said that the impression that Corona has ended was wrong and new patients of Corona were still emerging. He appealed to the people that we should not lose sight of the precautionary measures. If precaution is not taken then cases may increase. The health department is conducting free Corona test for citizens. If any person has any symptom, they must get tested. The Sindh government is going to enact more legislation regarding Corona. Later, the Sindh government spokesperson, while highlighting the situation in the country after Corona, said that the virus of PTI corruption was spreading rapidly in the country.  Chairman PPP Bilawal Bhutto Zardari is exposing the corruption of PTI. 

He said that in practice PTI was deviating from its slogan and following one or two Pakistan.  There is a separate law for the opposition and a separate law for the ruling party. 

Murtaza Wahab said that after the coming of the government of these angels, the sugar crisis has come and the scandal of wheat and medicine has come under this government.  These crises are deliberately created. In the past, it was talking about taxes on petroleum products. Now look at the tax rates.  Prices of petroleum products have skyrocketed. The sugar scandal is in front of the people.  He said that Khan Sahib took notice and said that he will not leave the mafia and then after Khan Sahib’s notice the people start screaming. In the report of sugar scandal, the Sugar Commission itself says that the price of sugar in Pakistan should go up.  One reason was to export sugar while the decision to export sugar was taken by the federal government and the head of the federal government is Imran Khan Niazi.

The spokesperson for Sindh government said that the decision to export sugar had been approved by the Minister in charge of Commerce, Imran Khan. He said that NAB calls the opposition leaders every day but why the Prime Minister is not being called in the sugar scandal. He said that in practice a separate Pakistan has been created for the PTI and for the opposition. He said that the decision of the Supreme Court said that NAB was being used for political purposes. We have been saying for a long time that you should be arrested if found guilty, but Imran Khan is not called from the Prime Minister’s House or Bani Gala. He said that Imran Khan Niazi has a separate Pakistan in terms of dual citizenship. He demanded that money trail should now be given to those who transferred crores of rupees abroad. Khan Sahib promoted those who did not become members of parliament to important posts. They encourage us to invest in Pakistan and invest in our own dollars abroad. The PTI leadership should answer my questions, he added. 

Murtaza Wahab said, “No school will be opened in Sindh from August 15. We will not compromise on children’s health nor will we allow the private school administration to do so.” He said that no matter how much testing is being done in Sindh, the rate of positive patients is decreasing. In the meantime, we have further improved our capacity and isolation centers. He further said that PPP believes in ideology and philosophy and not individuals.
