Zilhaj moon will be visible in Karachi today, claims Fawad

Federal Science and Technology Minister Fawad Chaudhry said that the Zilhaj moon will be visible in Karachi and its surroundings today, July 21 (Tuesday).
He shared this news in a tweet, saying “The birth of the new moon of Zilhaj 1441 AH has taken place at 10:33 pm on Monday night according to the standard time of Pakistan. Today, on July 21, the moon in Pakistan will be visible in Karachi and its surrounding areas.”

“Yes, if it is cloudy then download the Ruet App and see the exact place of the moon,” he stated in the tweet.
The government is likely to announce only one holiday if Eidul Azha falls on Friday as the government wants to contain the spread of novel coronavirus. The federal government has directed to implement SOPs at cattle markets. Prime Minister Imran Khan has asked people to celebrate Eidul Azha with simplicity.
On the other hand, the Saudi Supreme Court on said that Zilhaj will begin on Wednesday, July 22, and that Arafat Day (Hajj) will fall on Thursday, July 30. Eid will be celebrated on Friday, July 31 in Saudi Arabia.
