Trolls target Greek restaurant following Kylie Jenner appearance

A small family-run restaurant in the picturesque village of Fiscardo, Greece, is facing unexpected online backlash … all because it proudly hosted Kylie Jenner.

After the 27-year-old reality star and beauty mogul dined at Tassia Restaurant on July 12 during her European vacation, the owners, Polychronis Dendrinos and Tassia Dendrinou,  took to Instagram to express their excitement over serving ‘an inspiring guest’ and ‘iconic entrepreneur’.

“An inspiring guest, and one of the most influential women of her generation,” they wrote. “She experienced a taste of our Greek hospitality and cuisine. It was a true pleasure to host such a remarkable guest.”

But their warm tribute to Jenner didn’t sit well with everyone.

Jenner also posted a photo of herself and close friend Anastasia Karanikolaou dining by the harbor, giving the 53-year-old restaurant some high-profile exposure.

Instead of a boost in popularity, however, Tassia was bombarded with critical comments from Instagram users accusing the owners of over-glorifying a celebrity visit.

“‘Honor?! Did she find a cure for cancer or what?!’” mocked one user.

“‘Now I know where NOT to go,’” added one commenter, while another bluntly called for a boycott.

Critics labeled the tribute ‘cringeworthy,’ accusing the restaurant of placing undue importance on Jenner's fame while dismissing the idea that her visit warranted such public praise.

Still, some defended the Dendrinos family, with one user said, “People getting mad at this need to touch grass.” Others added they too would celebrate if a global celebrity visited their restaurant.

Tassia has previously hosted major figures like Magic Johnson, Demi Moore, and Samuel L. Jackson, but none stirred controversy like Jenner.

Her visit came just weeks after she attended Jeff Bezos’ $56 million wedding and toured Europe on a yacht.
