Dar to attend ASEAN ministerial meeting in Philippines on July 23
Deputy Prime Minister and Foreign Minister Ishaq Dar will attend the ASEAN Regional Forum (ARF) Ministerial Meeting in the Philippines on July 23, the Foreign Office announced on Monday.
According to Foreign Office spokesperson, Dar will present Pakistan's perspective on the political and security situation in the Asia-Pacific region during the ministerial meeting.
The spokesperson said the deputy prime minister will also highlight Pakistan's commitment to promoting peace, stability, and regional cooperation during the forum.
On the sidelines of the meeting, Ishaq Dar is scheduled to hold bilateral meetings with his Philippine counterpart and several other foreign ministers to discuss matters of mutual interest and strengthen bilateral relations.
The ASEAN Regional Forum ministerial meeting will bring together foreign ministers and senior officials from 27 member countries to deliberate on key regional political and security issues.
Pakistan has been a member of the ASEAN Regional Forum since 2004 and continues to play an active role in advancing regional dialogue, cooperation, and confidence-building measures, the Foreign Office spokesperson added.
