Network running fake Singapore’s embassy busted

The National Cyber Crime Investigation Agency (NCCIA) on Tuesday busted a network, which had set up a fake embassy of Singapore, reported 24NewsHD TV channel. 

These people also had the uniform of Singapore Police with them, which they would wear to show that they were genuinely Singaporeans.

NCCIA Director Ali Wasim said that the suspects also had a fake website, UAN numbers and accounts.

He informed that the NCCIA had received complaints from the embassies of several countries against the suspects. “Besides that, the suspects also had a special type of mobile app,” he elaborated.
