Pakistan all set to become regional trade hub: Minister
Federal Minister for Maritime Affairs Junaid Anwar Chaudhry on Tuesday said that Pakistan is all set to become a regional trade hub, reported 24NewsHD TV channel.
Speaking at the Regional Transit Trade Hub Initiative in Beijing, Minister for Maritime Affairs said that Gwadar is an important part of the China-Pakistan Economic Corridor (CPEC).
He invited Chinese businessmen to take advantage of investment opportunities in the maritime and logistics sectors.
Junaid Chaudhry said that Pakistan is providing a transport- and investment-friendly environment for foreign investors.
He said that the government is introducing state-of-the-art technology at its ports. He said that a lot of space is available for logistics and digital trade between the two friendly countries.
He said that green shipping and the latest logistics are the need of the hour. He said that Pakistan-China collaboration has entered a new era.
Junaid Anwar Chaudhry said that collaboration between Pakistan and China will promote progress and connectivity in the region.
