Senior leaders of the Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz (PML-N) and Muttahida Qaumi Movement (MQM) held an important meeting on Tuesday, with discussions focusing on the prevailing political situation and the upcoming Azad Jammu and Kashmir (AJK) elections.

The PML-N delegation consisted of Federal Minister Ahsan Iqbal, Khawaja Saad Rafique, Senator Anusha Rehman, Khel Das Kohistani and Tauseef Shah.

The MQM delegation was led by Federal Minister Dr Khalid Maqbool Siddiqui and included Aminul Haq, Farhan Chishti, Zahid Malik and Shah Faisal.

During the meeting, the two sides held detailed discussions on current political developments and matters related to the AJK elections.

The PML-N delegation requested MQM to extend full support to the party in the AJK elections. Sources said the MQM leadership sought time to consult internally with its party members before making a decision.

Both parties agreed to strengthen political contacts and enhance cooperation on issues of mutual interest.

The meeting reflects continued coordination between the two coalition partners amid ongoing political developments in the country.
