An Awami National Party leader died while his son and another person sustained serious injuries in a gun attack in Bajaur on Monday. The deceased was named as Abdul Ghani.

The ambush took place in Bajaur leaving Shah Khalid, ANP tehsil head, and another person injured seriously. The wounded were rushed to Khar DHQ hospital. The assailants fled after the shootout. Security has been stepped up in the area after the attack.
