PM accuses AIG Hyderabad of power abuse, demands action against him

Prime Minister Imran Khan has written a letter to the Establishment Division, demanding action against Additional Inspector-General Hyderabad Dr Jameel Ahmed, accusing him of abuse of power and receiving bribes, reported 24News HD TV channel on Monday.
In the letter, the PM said the police officer had misused his powers and taken bribes. PM Imran Khan demanded action against the AIG Hyderabad as per the Civil Servants Roles. The letter reads, “Reportedly, the officer is heading 15 districts and allegedly collecting Rs1.5-2mn from each district on a monthly basis; besides taking a share on postings/transfers of under-command police officials.” The prime minister stated that Dr Jameel has illegally occupied three rooms of the Circuit House in Hyderabad, further accusing Dr Jameel's sons of using their father's position to extract unfair advantages. He said the police officer's sons blackmail the citizens. The PM demanded action against the police officer.
