World media acknowledges Pakistan’s mediatory role in US-Iran conflict 

World media is all praise for Pakistan’s mediation, which helped the US and Iran strike a peace deal, reported 24NewsHD TV channel on Sunday.

According to Bloomberg, Pakistan’s Field Marshal Asim Munir and Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif played a key role in bringing about a reconciliation between the two countries.

According to the publication, Pakistani leaders kept meeting their Iranian counterparts so that they could be brought to the negotiating table. “This resulted in a round of talks in Islamabad, and eventually a peace deal between Iran and the US,” writes Bloomberg.

The journal states that the US President Donald Trump called Field Marshal Asim Munir his ‘favourite’.

It further says that Pakistan’s better understanding with both the US and Iran placed it in a position where it could mediate between the two.

On the other hand, former British member of the parliament (MP) Stephen Pound has declared Pakistan’s mediation extremely important in the current scenario.
