The Khyber Pakhtunkhwa government has decided to shift the bodies of those dying because of the coronavirus directly from the hospitals to graveyards to stop the spread of the deadly disease.

24NewsHD, given details of the mechanism that have been finalised, reported that the special teams would be formed for giving bath to the bodies and funeral. After the bath at the hospitals, the bodies would be wrapped in leak-proof plastic sheets and sealed in coffins. The water used in the bath would not be sent to open sewerage.

Meanwhile, the family members are supposed to have the last look at beloved ones in the hospitals after which special vehicles will carry the bodies to the graveyards.

There have been two deaths so far in the province due to the coronavirus, while the number of patients currently stands at 23.
