Prime Minister Imran Khan has ordered an action against elements who are running a smear campaign against state institutions and government officials on social media under the banner of PTI, reported 24NewsHD TV channel.

Prime Minister Imran Khan chaired a meeting of the PTI leaders on Monday in Islamabad and took notice of the false smear campaign being run by some elements who had displayed PTI pictures on their social media accounts and were maligning the state institutions. The prime minister ordered an action against them. 

According to sources, the government has identified these slanderers who are running this campaign. The premier was presented a report in this regard during the meeting. 

Sources further revealed that the FIA would take action against these maligners.
