Aurat march organizers booked for holding protest sans NOC
Islamabad police have registered a case against Aurat march organizers for holding march without the permission of the local administration when section 144 was in place, reported 24NewsHDTV Channel.
Case was register against march organiser Farzana Bari and others women under Section 8 of the Peaceful Assembly Act. According the FIR, during Aurat march, more than 50 workers of Islami Nazriati Party and president of Muslim Students Federation Bilal Rabbani gathered in front of Aurat march and they tried to stop the participants of Aurat march.
According to FIR, both groups shouted slogans against each other and both sides blocked Shaheed Millat Chowk. Police said both Aurat march and Muslim Students Federation failed to obtain NOC for their gatherings.
According to FIR, all types of protests were banned in Islamabad under the implementation of Section 144. Farzana Bari and Bilal Rabbani staged protest and march illegally in violation of the law. A case was registered against both groups on the complaint of the City Magistrate.
