Bride suffers serious burns as colour bomb explosion during photoshoot goes wrong
A wedding celebration in India for a Canada-based Indian-origin couple took an unexpected turn when a color bomb malfunctioned, leaving the bride injured in Bengaluru. Vicky and Piya, who had traveled to India for their special day, shared a video of the incident on Instagram to raise awareness about the potential dangers of fireworks at weddings.
The video captures the moment when a color bomb, intended to enhance their photoshoot, misfired and hit the bride just as the groom was lifting her for a picture. "Our plan was to have stunning color bombs go off in the background for a breathtaking shot, but one malfunctioned and struck us instead. We were also moments away from holding our baby," they wrote in the caption.
The footage shows the bride with a burn on her back and singed hair. She was quickly rushed to the hospital for treatment, but fortunately, she was able to return in time to enjoy the reception.
In the comments, they emphasized, "This post is to raise awareness about the risks of using color bomb fireworks at events. We followed all safety precautions, yet a malfunction still caused injuries. Whether or not you believe in the evil eye, we certainly do!"
