Lahore Whites and Karachi Whites secure victories in National T20 Cup

Lahore Whites and Karachi Whites emerged victorious in their respective matches in the National T20 Cup, defeating Karachi Blues and Bahawalpur, respectively.

At Multan Cricket Stadium, Lahore Whites triumphed over Karachi Blues in a closely fought contest, securing an 8-run victory. Batting first, Lahore Whites set a target of 146 runs for 8 wickets in 20 overs, with Muhammad Mohsin leading the charge with 47 runs. Karachi Blues, despite Kashif Ali’s 32-run effort, fell short at 138 for 9 wickets. Obaid Shah’s 3 wickets for 27 runs earned him the Player of the Match title.

Meanwhile, at Iqbal Stadium, Faisalabad, Karachi Whites defeated Bahawalpur by 17 runs. Opting to bat first, Karachi Whites posted a competitive 182 runs for 5 wickets, with Shan Masood scoring a stellar 51 runs, including 3 sixes and 4 fours. Muhammad Faizan shined for Bahawalpur, claiming 3 wickets for just 13 runs.

In response, Bahawalpur managed 165 for 5 wickets, with Faizan Zafar top-scoring with 56 runs. Mir Hamza’s two wickets helped Karachi Whites seal the victory. Shan Masood was named Player of the Match but later dedicated his award to Haroon Arshad, who had contributed 44 runs.
