Salman praises young stars after dominant victory

Pakistan T20 skipper Salman Ali Agha has lauded his team’s exceptional performance, particularly the contributions of the young players.

 “This match was do-or-die for us, and the young players stepped up brilliantly,” Salman said in the post-match press conference in Auckland on Friday. 

He said that there was a need to back youngsters to get the best performance from them.

“If you back the youngsters, they will do well like today. 200 is a par score on this wicket, and I just said to the guys we can chase this down if you bat well.”

He continued that the pitch was excellent for batting, and credit goes to our bowlers for restricting New Zealand to 200.

The overall performance was outstanding, and we are now fully focused on the next match, he remarked. 

In a high-stakes encounter, Pakistan secured a resounding nine-wicket victory over New Zealand in the third T20I in Auckland, successfully chasing down a daunting 205-run target in just 16 overs. 

The thrilling win kept Pakistan alive in the series.
