Punjab increases re-opening of schools from 11 districts to 16
Punjab government increases the reopening of schools from 11 districts to 16 districts within a span of half an hour, reported 24NewsHD TV channel Friday.
Earlier, Punjab Education Minister Dr Murad Raas took to Twitter to notify about the school openings in 11 districts with a notification in this regard.

The 11 districts include Bahawalnagar, Chakwal, Hafizabad, Jhelum, Mandi Bahauddin, Nankana Sahib, Sheikhupura, Narowal, Sialkot, Rajanpur and Sahiwal.
The new districts included in the new notification are: Chiniot, Chakwal, Kasur, Pakpattan and Vehari.
However, he deleted his tweet within 10 minutes and then again tweeted about re-opening of schools in 16 districts instead with a new notification.
He wrote: “Public & Private Schools in the following Districts will be opened 4 days a week with 50% attendance on alternate days starting Monday May 24th, 2021. Please follow SOPs issued by the Government.”

Public & Private Schools of Punjab in the following Districts will open for 4 days a week. Schools will be allowed to call students on alternate days with 50% attendance starting Monday May 24, 2021. Remaining Districts to be decided in next meeting. Follow SOPs. pic.twitter.com/nyKTaK5T0U
The decision came after NCOC has allowed to re-open the educational institutes in those districts of the country where the positivity ratio is less than 5%.
