Shehbaz submits copy of pro-Palestine resolution to UN office in Islamabad

PML-N President and National Assembly Opposition Leader Shehbaz Sharif along with other opposition leaders submitted a resolution passed by the National Assembly in favour of Palestine people in the United Nations office in Islamabad on Friday, reported 24NewsHD TV channel.
Shehbaz Sharif flanked by former prime minister Raja Pervaiz Ashraf submitted the resolution to UN Resident Coordinator and Humanitarian Coordinator in Pakistan Julien Harneis.
Shehbaz Sharif talking to media outside the UN Office said, “The Palestinians were persecuted and bombed by Israel and a large number of Palestinians were martyred.”

Opposition leader said, “Al-Aqsa Mosque was attacked and such tragic scenes had never been seen before. The entire opposition leadership jointly handed over a copy of the resolution to the UN office today.”
Earlier in the day, PML-N President Shehbaz Sharif addressing in the parliament said opposition parties were going to the United Nations Office in Islamabad and they wanted to submit the NA-passed resolution in favour of Palestine people. “If treasury bench members wanted to go then it would be a national solidarity gesture from our side,” he added.

In Lahore, Punjab Assembly Opposition Leader Hamza Shehbaz and PMLN members’ staged a protest outside the Assembly in solidarity with Palestine.

Opposition Leader in the National Assembly Hamza Shehbaz addressing the Punjab Assembly said, “A unanimous resolution against the atrocities in Palestine has been tabled in the national and provincial assemblies today.”

It may be mentioned here that Palestinians were celebrating the victory and ceasefire on Friday.
Rejoice prevailed in Gaza, West Bank and Al-Quds with fireworks, singing, and parades down the streets could be seen in several footages shared on social media.
At Al-Aqsa Mosque, thousands of Palestinians launched fireworks and chanted for their country as they waved Palestinian flags.
