Field Marshal Asim Munir lays floral wreath at martyrs' memorial 

Field Marshal General Syed Asim Munir on Wednesday visited the memorial of the martyrs at the General Headquarters (GHQ) in Rawalpindi and laid a floral wreath at the graves and offered Fateha, reported 24NewsHD TV channel. 

Field Marshal Asim was presented a special guard of honour on arrival at the Yadgar-e-Shuhada and offered Fateha to pay tribute to the martyrs of Pakistan

Speaking on the occasion, the Field Marshal said he dedicated the honour bestowed upon him to the nation, martyrs, ghazis and veterans of both civil and armed forces and the law enforcement agencies

“The nation and the armed forces faced the Indian aggression as firm as a rock,” the Field Marshal added. 

He went on to say that he especially dedicated the honour to those valiant soldiers who laid down their lives while defending the country. “This honour is a tribute to the entire Pakistani Nation and the valiant men and women of the Armed Forces of Pakistan, particularly the martyrs who stood like a ‘Wall of Steel’ against Indian unprovoked, cowardly and unlawful aggression against Pakistan,” he added.
