Court bars police from arresting PTI leaders until July 23
Anti-terrorism court in Islamabad accepts 243 pre-arrest bail applications
Accepting 243 pre-arrest bail applications filed by PTI MNAs and leaders in cases of protests on November 26 and on other occasions, an anti-terrorism court (ATC) in Islamabad on Thursday barred the police from arresting them until July 23, reported 24NewsHD TV channel.
ATC judge Abul Hasnat Muhammad Zulqarnain heard the applications.
PTI MNAs Umair Niazi, Latif Khosa, Junaid Akbar, Arbab Sher Ali, Sajid Khan Mohmand, Senator Falak Naz Chitrali, PTI leaders Khurram Sher Zaman, Raja Basharat, Rauf Hassan, Niazullah Niazi, former AJK prime minister Sardar Abdul Qayyum Niazi, Seemabia Tahir, Nadia Khattak, Major (r) Tahir Sadiq and others turned up in the court.
Cases had been registered against these leaders at different police stations of the federal capital, including Kohsar, Khana, Tarnol, Karachi Company and Secretariat.
