Not only that the Kartarpur Corridor has facilitated the Sikh devotees from across the border in India to visit the shrine of Baba Guru Nanak, a saint, in Narowal and pay their respects there, but now it is also acting as a bridge between the people of two countries, reported 24NewsHD TV channel on Sunday.
In one such incident, a Sikh yatree recognized his child playmate when he came to Pakistan a few days back to participate in the birthday celebrations of Baba Guru Nanak.
According to reports, both Muhammad Bashir from Shakargarh and Gopal Singh Gurdwara from Amritsar, Indian Punjab hugged each other and recalled the days of their childhood when they would play with each other.
Bashir told the media that he was 19-year-old at the time of partition in 1947 when Gopal had to bid adieu to him and leave for India.
