Naqvi takes cricket to new heights, unveils mega prizes for PSL 2026
PCB chairman says champions to collect half a million dollars while runners-up will receive $300,000: $200,000 prize for contribution towards cricket development
Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) Chairman Mohsin Naqvi has announced a significant incentive boost for Pakistan Super League (PSL) franchises, aligning financial rewards with both on-field success and long-term cricket development, starting with the PSL 2026 edition, reported 24NewsHD TV channel.
In a post uploaded on X platform on Friday, Mohsin Naqvi unveiled a revamped rewards structure for the upcoming PSL edition, with the champions set to collect $500,000 and the runners-up $300,000 on top of the actual prize money which will be revealed soon.
Alongside this, a new category has been introduced: a $200,000 prize for the “Best Franchise contributing towards Cricket Development.”
Naqvi stated that the newly announced prize money for the franchises will come in effect from PSL 2026 season onwards.
“Let’s take Pakistan cricket to new heights,” Naqvi wrote in his announcement.
