Shah Rukh Khan and Salman Khan ignite Abu Dhabi at VIP museum opening

Bollywood superstars Shah Rukh Khan and Salman Khan created a buzz with a surprise visit to the Natural History Museum Abu Dhabi, which officially opens to the public this Saturday, the 22nd of November, 2025.

They appeared alongside UAE officials at the opening ceremony, including Crown Prince Sheikh Khaled bin Mohamed Al Nahyan and Sheikha Latifa bint Mohammed.

Salman is in the UAE for his ongoing Dabangg Tour, while Shah Rukh was attending the museum’s VIP opening.

The two black-suited Bollywood icons then took an exclusive guided preview of the 35,000-square-metre museum, while the museum officials welcomed them and led them through its extensive state-of-the-art galleries.

This museum on Saadiyat Island chronicles Earth’s history, specifically the Arabian region.

Its star attractions include the 11.7-metre-tall fossilised “Stan” Tyrannosaurus rex, a 7-billion-year-old meteorite, and a recreation of Abu Dhabi as it was 7 million years ago.

The actors appeared deeply engaged as they explored the exhibits, pausing in awe at the towering T. rex and ancient meteorite displays.

The fans who were at the site also seemed super thrilled by the surprise visit, with several managing quick selfies as the Khans toured the halls.

This camaraderie between the Karan-Arjun duo has been on display this autumn: they were recently seen together at a Delhi wedding and at the Joy Forum in Riyadh, and even made friendly cameos in each other’s spy films Pathaan and Tiger 3 last year.

Both actors also have major projects coming in 2026: Salman has wrapped Apoorva Lakhia’s war drama Battle of Galwan, and Shah Rukh will next appear in Siddharth Anand’s multi-starrer King (which features Suhana Khan).
