Cell formed to monitor demand and supply of petroleum products

The Federal Petroleum Division has formed a monitoring cell to monitor the demand and supply of the petroleum products, 24NewsHD TV quoted sources as saying on Monday.

According to the report, this decision was made on the condition of a bank guarantee under the Sindh Infrastructure Development Cess.

L&M director, directorate general of the Oil and Petroleum Division, has been appointed convener of the cell, the sources added.

Representatives of OGRA, Oil Companies Advisory Council and Oil Marketing Association are part of the monitoring cell.

The Petroleum Division has finalized the terms of reference (TORs) for the monitoring cell, the sources said.

The monitoring cell will monitor the demand and supply of petroleum products round the clock, the sources said.

The cell will send a report every 12 hours to the secretary to the Petroleum Division, the sources concluded.
