The Election Commission of Pakistan has declared the scrutiny committees report regarding Pakistan Tehreek-i-Insaf’s foreign funding case incomplete, 24NewsHD TV channel reported Monday.

The ECP, in its written order, has given another six-week time to the scrutiny committee to complete the investigations into the case.

The scrutiny committee has also been directed to keep the ECP informed about the details of its every meeting.

The ECP said the scrutiny committee neither examined any evidence related to the case nor it has decided upon them.

The ECP said it was the duty of the committee to thoroughly examine all the documents related to the case and if the committee deemed any document inadmissible it should also give the reason for rejecting that document.

The ECP said the scrutiny committee can consult every related forum for the verification of the documents presented in the case as an evidence.

The ECP has directed the committee to complete the investigations as per the ECP’s direction and submit it to the ECP in six weeks.
