Leading members of the Prime Minister Imran Khan’s cabinet including Foreign Minister Shah Mehmood Qureshi, Planning Minister Asad Umar, Science Minister Fawad Chaudhary and Information Minister Shibli Faraz reacting on the opposition’s All Parties Conference (APC) rejected its declaration and termed it a bid to demand National Reconciliation Ordinance (NRO).
Shah Mehmood Qureshi said India is happy over Nawaz Sharif’s anti-institutions speech in which he targeted all those institutions which were protected under the Constitution of Pakistan.
He said the opposition alliance is Alliance of Convenience instead of ideological alliance. “All these parties are united temporarily in fear of Prime Minister Imran Khan.”
Qureshi taunted the opposition for not taking disciplinary actions against those senators who did not vote for them. “There is a huge difference between their words and action,” he added.
Foreign Minister Shah Mehmood Qureshi said Nawaz Sharif actually put a question mark on the 170m voters who voted for the PTI in the general elections of 2018.
There was disappointment in Nawaz Sharif’s speech that how PTI could fill the resource gap of $20b with the help of friendly countries and faced the challenges like coronavirus successfully and now the country’s economic indicators are improving.
“Opposition’s more disappointments came when opposition’s sit-in was vanished and then FATF bills were passed by the senate despite having the majority in the Senate,” Shah Mehmood said.

Asad Umar said India is cherishing on the Nawaz Sharif speech in APC and all the Indian media is making heading that Nawaz Sharif was politically returned in politics by targeting Pakistan Army.
Information Minister Shibli Faraz said Nawaz Sharif is probably not used to having free and fair elections and if he was defeated in this 2018 general election then he has been trying to make the election process suspicious.
Shibli Faraz said, “We did not stop the speech of Maulana Fazlur Rehman. The Prime Minister decided to allow the speeches of the opposition on TV.”
Fawad Chaudhry said hopefully Nawaz Sharif will return before the next elections and APC was actually “Abu Bachao Conference. Fawad said Nawaz Sharif knew that Nawaz Sharif would not return, so he set up a surety bond of Rs7b.
“We did not come from Nawaz Sharif's begging but we came with people's votes,” Fawad Chaudhry said.
He said General Jilani included Nawaz Sharif in the cabinet in 1983 and all conspiracies against democracy were hatched under the leadership of Nawaz Sharif.
