CJP Isa fines lawyer for ‘wasting court’s time’

Chief Justice of Pakistan (CJP) Justice Qazi Faez Isa on Thursday slapped a fine of Rs5,000 on a lawyer for wasting court’s time in a property case, reported 24NewsHD TV channel.

Addressing the petitioner’s lawyer, the CJP said that he had tried to mislead the court by not showing relevant documents.

Justice Isa told him that now the court no longer trusted him.

He asked the lawyer to give the amount to a charitable organization of his liking and show receipt to the court.
