FIA busts fake family plot at Islamabad Airport

The Federal Investigation Agency (FIA) immigration during an operation at Islamabad Airport has offloaded five passengers for going abroad pretending to be their own children, reported the 24NewsHD TV channel on Sunday.
According to an FIA spokesperson, five offloaded passengers were travelling to Hong Kong. The passengers were going to Hong Kong on a Thailand visit visa. Among the passengers are Bushra, Amjad Ali, Alizeh Shaheen, Muhammad Adnan, and Zeeshan Ali Khan.
Passenger Amjad Ali is the real son of female passenger Bushra, while attempts were made to take other passengers abroad by pretending to be her own children. According to the initial investigation, passengers named Alizeh Shaheen, Muhammad Adnan, and Zeeshan Ali are not the real children of female passenger Bushra.
The families of the passengers paid Rs 15 million to the agent. The agent forged and changed the NADRA records of the three children. The agent received a huge amount of money and included the three children in the family record of Ijaz Ali.
The agent showed the three passengers as Ijaz Ali's children in the NADRA record. The address of the three passengers was shown as Swabi in the NADRA record, but according to the investigation, Alizeh Shaheen, Muhammad Adnan, and Zeeshan Ali belong to Sargodha, Attock, and Khushab.
The Pakistan Airport Authority official involved in facilitating the passengers at the airport was also indicted. Information was also obtained regarding the elements involved in contacting the Pakistan Airport Authority official. The passengers were transferred to the Anti-Human Trafficking Circle in Islamabad for further legal action. The scope of the investigation has also been expanded regarding the involvement of NADRA and passport officials.

Meanwhile, a passenger's attempt to travel to Romania on fake documents has been foiled at Allama Iqbal International Airport, Lahore.
FIA Immigration Lahore arrested the passenger who was travelling to Romania on fake documents. The arrested suspect has been identified as Abdul Rashid. The suspect was travelling to Romania on a work visa through flight number FZ-360.
The passenger was found suspicious during immigration clearance.
The suspect's Pakistani passport was found to have a fake Romanian work visa with an original sticker from the Protector of Emigrants. According to initial investigations, the suspect obtained the fake visa from agents named Muhammad Munir and Muhammad Zaman for Rs1.8 million while residing abroad in Bahrain.

Separately, Somalia-bound passenger has been offloaded over tampered visa at Karachi Airport. Passenger Mohsin Nawaz was traveling on Pakistani passport and work visa. The passenger belongs to Haripur. According to initial investigation, the visa presented by the passenger was tampered.
