Humayun Akhtar Khan calls for comprehensive package for flood-affected farmers

Former federal minister Humayun Akhtar Khan has urged the government to immediately announce a comprehensive package for the rehabilitation of farmers affected by recent floods, stressing that the development, prosperity, and comfort of the people remain the central focus of his politics.

Speaking during a visit to review the construction of the road from Pathana Chowk to Chak No. 541 GB Chakianwala village in NA-97, Humayun Akhtar Khan said his approach is based on practical steps rather than hollow promises.

He said the funds of over Rs 160 million have been allocated for this project and other road networks through his efforts. Chaudhry Usman Kahlon, Chaudhry Muhammad Ikram Grewal, and other local leaders accompanied him on the occasion.

The former minister emphasised that his politics is not driven by personal gain but by the objective of providing essential facilities to the people. He reiterated his long-standing commitment to the development and prosperity of the constituency, saying, “We have proven through our actions that we belong to the people and have not left them alone at any stage, nor will we in the future.”

Later, Humayun Akhtar Khan visited the homes of families who had recently lost loved ones in the constituency, offering condolences and Fateha for the departed souls.
