Rulers cannot exclude Imran Khan from politics, says Mussarat Jamshed Cheema

Senior Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) leader Mussarat Jamshed Cheema has said that the rulers should abandon their “dreams” of removing PTI founder Imran Khan from politics, declaring that despite being imprisoned, he remains the central figure in Pakistan’s political landscape.

In a strongly worded statement, Cheema accused the government of employing every possible tactic to weaken and break Imran Khan, even subjecting his wife, Bushra Bibi—who she stressed has no political role—to mistreatment in jail. She maintained that the ruling alliance survives only through the crutches of power and authority, while Imran Khan continues to command the political narrative of the country.

“Pakistani politics is incomplete without Imran Khan,” Cheema said, adding that the sacrifices made by the PTI founder and his family for the nation are unparalleled in the country’s political history. She asserted that the people of Pakistan are not hopeless and that Khan’s struggle will ultimately lead the nation toward “true democracy and real freedom.”

Cheema expressed confidence that the ruling elite, dependent on state machinery, will not be able to withstand the PTI’s political strength in the upcoming general elections.
