Tribal elders in Bajaur pledge allegiance to Pakistan
Tribal elders, at a grand Jirga held in Mamond, Bajaur under the auspices of the Frontier Corps Khyber Pakhtunkhwa North on Saturday, renewed their pledge to fight against militants alongside the Pakistan Army, reported 24NewsHD TV channel on Sunday.
IG FC North, the civil administration, tribal elders and a large number of people were present on the occasion.
The tribesmen eulogized the sacrifices given by the army officers and personnel for peace in the area besides raising slogans in support of Pakistan and the army.
DG ISPR holds sitting with students
DG ISPR Lt General Ahmad Sharif Chaudhry visited the Cadet College Palandri on Saturday and held a special sitting with the students and teachers there.
The participants showered praise on the Pakistan Army for inflicting a humiliating defeat on India during the recent military confrontation and expressed the hope that the army would repeat the same feat in the future as well in the event of Indian aggression.
The students as well as teachers said that Kashmir was the jugular vein of Pakistan and it was their belief that both Pakistanis and Kashmiris were one and none could separate them.
They said that the sitting had enabled them to understand the sacrifices being given by the army for the country’s defence.
They also thanked the DG for giving detailed answers to their queries.
