PPP chairman Bilawal Bhutto Zardari turns 38
Pakistan Peoples Party (PPP) chairman Bilawal Bhutto Zardari has turned 38, with the party organising a birthday celebration at Begum Nusrat Bhutto Hall in Larkana, 24NewsHD TV reported on Monday
A 38 round cake was cut to mark the occasion, while a large number of PPP workers and leaders attended the celebration, including MPA and Political Secretary to the chairman Jamil Ahmed Soomro, MPA Sohail Anwar Siyal, Larkana Mayor Anwar Ali Lohar and District Council Chairman Aijaz Ali Laghari.
Born on September 21, 1988, Bilawal is the son of former Prime Minister Benazir Bhutto and former President Asif Ali Zardari and the grandson of former Prime Minister Zulfikar Ali Bhutto.
He entered active politics at a young age and became chairman of the PPP in 2007 following the assassination of his mother.
He later became a member of the National Assembly and served as Foreign Minister from 2022 to 2023.
Apart from his political journey, Bilawal has many times remained a subject of public discussion on social media.
Recently, rumours about his engagement and marriage went viral and reports were linking him to Gloria von Habsburg as the bride.
She is a 26 year old former Austrian Archduchess and a descendant of the final reigning Emperor of Austria.
Bilawal himself later dismissed the reports, saying that no such development had taken place and that he did not know any “Princess Gloria.”
His Urdu accent has also occasionally become a talking point on social media and many internet users troll him over his occasional slips of the tongue.
At the same time, Bilawal has received public attention for his speeches on national issues and his defence of Pakistan's position, specially during tensions with India.
