LHC to hear plea against detention orders of Imran Khan’s three sisters

The Lahore High Court has fixed a hearing for a petition challenging the detention orders issued against three sisters of PTI founder Imran Khan, 24News HD TV reported on Monday.

The petition has been filed by a citizen, Shehryar Khan, while Justice Abhar Gul Khan will hear the petition on Tuesday.

The petition names the Home Secretary, Lahore Deputy Commissioner, CCPO Lahore and Kot Lakhpat jail superintendent as respondents.

It challenges the detention orders issued against Aleema Khan, Uzma Khan and Noreen Khan.

The petitioner has alleged that the Lahore Deputy Commissioner issued the detention orders unlawfully and failed to follow the procedure required under Section 3 of the Maintenance of Public Order Law.

The petition further stated that Aleema Khan’s detention order was issued after her arrest.

It also claimed that police had declared Aleema Khan and Uzma Khan innocent in FIR No. 96/23.

The petitioner has requested the High Court to declare the detention orders issued by the Lahore Deputy Commissioner unlawful and set them aside.
