Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz (PML-N) Information Secretary Marriyum Aurangzeb has alleged the National Accountability Bureau (NAB) is being used for political persecution.
The ex-information minister, without naming Prime Minister Imran Khan, alleged that NAB was following his directives.
She said: “NAB’s repeated call-up notices to Opposition Leader in National Assembly Shehbaz Sharif are undeniable proof of a fixed match of NAB-Niazi Alliance.
“Response to a 24-page submission just in two minutes shows the bureau did not even read the answers submitted by Shehbaz. This is a travesty of justice.
“NAB claims of lack of cooperation on part of Shehbaz are a pack of lies. Staying in custody for 133 days and providing every document and details portray the other side of the story.
The bureau prepared its response to Shehbaz’s answer even before it was submitted. This shows NAB’s focus is on making Shehbaz appear before it, rather than his interrogation and answer to the bureau’s questions.
