Punjab govt issues notification of 20 school fee cut

The Punjab government on Wednesday issued a notification of 20 per cent concession in private school fees for the months of April and May 2020 in the wake of Covid-19 outbreak.
Punjab Education Minister Dr Murad Raas informed the parents in a tweet.
He said, “This settles it. Do not pay the fee if you do not have a Revised Fee Bill. Pay the fee right away if you have the Revised Fee Bill. #StayHomeSavesLives.”

As per the notification, the registering authority may issue special directives for the closure of schools and for ensuring that students are imparted education through alternative means in special circumstances including but not limited to calamities.
The move has already been rejected by the All Pakistan Private Schools Associations.
Pakistan Private Schools Associations President Khashif Mirza said: “We will challenge the notification in the court.”
