Tik Tok video craze takes 20-year-old’s life

A 20-year-old man died while trying to make a video for Tik Tok mobile app at railway track in Karachi’s Landhi neighbourhood.

The man identified as Kashif Arshad went to the locality's central railway line in the evening and sat on the railway track to shoot a TikTok video, according to police.

Arshad was seriously injured after he was struck by a local train heading to Hyderabad, police said, adding that on a motorcycle his friends had moved him to a hospital, but he had succumbed to his wounds upon arrival.

The police said that after necessary procedures the body of the deceased was handed over to the family.

Meanwhile, Landhi Railway Police confirmed that no reference had been made by the family about Arshad making a TikTok video on the railway line, although the people who came with him said he was making a video while watching the train.
