UN Secretary General welcomes US President’s announcement to extend ceasefire

The UN Secretary General Antonio Guterres welcomed the US President's announcement to extend the ceasefire, reported 24NewsHD TV channel on Wednesday. 
In a message, he said that he fully supports Pakistan's mediation efforts. 
He further said an opportunity has been created for diplomacy between Iran and the US. 
It is hoped that the talks will pave the way for a comprehensive and lasting solution, UN Secretary General said. 
He said the parties should respect the ceasefire and play a positive and constructive role in the talks.
Meanwhile, thousands of people gathered in Tehran's Revolution Square to show solidarity with the government.
The air echoed with drums, flags and chants of "resistance".
Ballistic missiles were displayed in Tehran.
